Our two puppy boys, Beo and Jax, sleep in bed with hubby and I.
This is starting to pose a problem as the two dogs combined weight @ 165 pounds.
So here's the question... how do we get them out of bed?
They have their own beds in the bedroom, but the much prefer the big bed and we don't want to keep our bedroom door shut.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Crates are the only thing that has worked for us. Our dogs used to sleep with us, until I started not sleeping well anymore. The one dog would hog my side of the bed, and the other dog started marking my husband's side of the bed when he'd get up in the mornings. It only took twice of the marking incident to kick them both out, let me tell you.
We got our dogs the metal crates, that are open looking. We also got them big fluffy beds to put in it. They love their beds now and every one sleeps better. We give them a special treat that they only get when they go to bed. So bedtime is easy now. The dogs will get to where they feel safe and secure inside their crate. The first few nights they may whine and holler, but you just ignore them. We found that our dogs have to sleep in the living room otherwise their moving around stirs us too much. But if your dogs need to be near you, maybe you can find a corner of your room to keep their crates in.
Hope that helps. Feel free to email me if you want more information or have any questions.
Thanks Grace. I was hoping to avoid having the crates back in the bedroom, but it looks like that is unavoidable. They are either crated or they sleep with us.
Hubby was finally fed up last night when the big dog sat on his head and didn't move. Not to mention the little dog walking up him and batting him in the face @ 5:45.
I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
